Teaching English to Young Learners: How Theory can Inform Pedagogical Choices

This free webinar will focus on the theory of how children learn a second language and how we as teachers can apply this knowledge to inform our pedagogical choices and create developmentally appropriate activities for young learners. The age factor is especially determinative when pedagogical decisions about presentation and practice of grammar and lexis need to be made, so in the second part of the webinar we will co-explore and co-create effective and engaging activities optimal for incidental learning.

Dear teachers,

ELTAM MK has partnered with Inlingua Cheltenham, a UK institute, in PRELIM 3 Project which is a partnership between the British Council, English UK and IATEFL, and managed by the Norwich Institute for Language Education (NILE).

The focus of PRELIM 3 project is development and dissemination of teacher support resources, designed specifically for the classrooms in Republic of N. Macedonia (especially state schools). We believe that PRELIM 3 project products will be extremely beneficial for teachers and students in our country in the current situation when teaching resources (and particularly textbooks in the state schools) are scarce.

Below is an initial survey in which you can answer questions that would describe your teaching context, your needs and your interest to participate in this project by piloting the resources in your classroom. We strongly recommend that you take part in this survey as it may be of great benefit for you and your students.
